I’ve seen a few people drawing comparisons to the Gilded Age and the current mess were in, and I don’t know how well that really stacks up, but when it comes down to it, it’s the masses of people that fuel the economy. Those who have argued that income inequality needs to be addressed through policy changes have understood this. A concentration of wealth at the top is unsustainable.
