The true meaning of Christmas

I love nativity sets because of all the Christmas decorations they express most closely the true meaning of the season.

This one with penguins is particularly rich in religious symbolism.

  1. Nativity scenes, with all those figures, are just sooooo much work. If only someone could invent a one-piece nativity scene that you could just plop out on the lawn without a lot of hassle. You know, maybe something inflatable like those big Santa Clauses so you could roll it up for easy storage in the off-season — because who wants to think about Jesus all year long?

    Oh, wait: someone has.

  2. I saw a nativity scene the other day made of sausages and bacon. I don’t recall if it was “with kings.” But it looked both respectful and delicious. My daughter liked Baby Jesus wrapped in swaddling bacon. Tasty.

  3. I’ll see your Inflatable Nativity w/Kings! and raise you an inflatable Kwaanza Book of Knowledge w/ aces back.
