Just one more reason Janet Napolitano was a bad choice for DHS.
What does Napolitano have to do with it?
If Napolitano wasn’t selected to run the Dept. of Homeland Security, she would still be Governor of Arizona, and we wouldn’t have the current and embarrassing stand-in who is wreaking so much havoc with our state and our reputation. I just spent four days at a national conference, and those presenters who attended (some did not in protest) often made cracks about the current AZ governor’s/legislature’s disregard for children and families. Many were unaware that Brewer wasn’t even elected, or that we have no Lt. Governor to replace a governor who leaves or dies. At least a Lt. Gov would be more likely to share the political values of the person they replaced. This has happened in AZ before.
