I love the quasi-douplespeak of “MAY FACE CERTAIN DEATH”. If death is certain, there’s no “may” about it. It’s like being “sorta pregnant”.
They’ve removed the qualifier: Galveston NWS now says “Persons not heeding evacuation orders in single family one or two story homes will face certain death.”
