Herbert Hoover

Feel a little like taking your money out of the bank and stuffing it into your mattress?

“The market is in the process of correcting itself. I believe there ought to be action, but I’m deeply concerned about law and regulation that will make it harder for the markets to recover.”

That’s Bush speaking today, not Hoover in 1929.

  1. Translation:

“Me and my friends have not yet stolen all that can be stolen. I’m deeply concerned that regulation will make it harder for us to do so.”

Though I think the horses are not only out of the barn, but in the next state by now.

(By the way, what wordpress plugin to do you use that allows comments to be edited for a half hour?)

  2. A lot of people seem to be stuffing their money into gold. I might stuff mine into Euros if I had any to stuff.
