I watched an interesting version of the Christmas Carol a week or so ago. Oscar the Grouch was visited by a worm, and one of segments (Present, maybe?) showed the Gift of the Magi with Burt and Ernie. Burt sold his paper clip collection to get Ernie a soap dish (to store his Rubber Duckie), and Ernie sold his Rubber Duckie to buy Burt a cigar box (to store his paper clip collection). Mr. Hooper brought the prized possessions back as his Christmas gifts to the roommates. Aren’t you sorry you missed it?
