  1. However people in Frankfurt aren’t slaves to automobiles. They have incredible mass transit, not just in Frankfurt but all over Western Europe. You don’t have to have a car to get around.

    Here in the US it is extremely difficult to get around without a car, except in very large eastern cities.

    If we had put a 50 cent a gallon tax on gas during the 1973 energy crunch by now we could have had a mass transit program that the rest of the world would envy. Then people here wouldn’t neccessarily need cars. We would have been a lot better off in the long run. And gas would most likely be more than 50 cents a gallon cheaper than it is today.

  2. Too bad for Germany. When you torture, kill and descriminate the way Hitler did with his henchmen and women, what do you think is going to happen in the end? They got what they deserve since some of their people still think the old way as Hitler did. I trully believe we all get what we sow, one way or another. The U.S. deserves free gas.
