Had dinner last evening at Macaroni Grill — don’t ask, it wasn’t my choice.
What’s up with the water tumblers they use to serve the house chianti? That some sort of tradition from somewhere, or just an affectation of the chain?

Glad you liked it so much :-). On one visit to Macaroni Grill they had one of the waiters sing a solo “Happy Birthday” for a customer. Must be really embarrassing for both the waiter and customer.
I used to like Macaroni Grill. They changed the menu and it’s awful. The service was horrid. I complained and they took my dinner off but who cares? I was hungry and it was awful!!
They are on the cheap now. Perfect example of corporate greed gone bad. Even the bread sucked and, yeah, those water bottle thingies are stupid.
