At swim meet with four of The Sweeties competing — Reid, Aidan, Kiley and Mack. 17 splashes (events).
Only bad thing, swim meets begin at 7 am. I usually begin later than that. (But then, I can barely swim.)

But can you dive in a Speedo?
Off Topic: Miss you
Thanks, Karen.
The four Sweeties won 19 ribbons in their 17 splashes, including some firsts. Still, I think the highlight of the day was 5-year-old Reid completing both the 25-meter freestyle and 25-meter backstroke. What 5-year-old can swim a backstroke? (The other three can each swim all four competition strokes.)
Oh, and believe me, Reid was ON ME on Sunday to make his “swim binder” so he had a place to put those precious first two ribbons. He’s been craving that swim binder (like his brothers and his cousin have) since he was three. It was very cool that his Grandpa was there to see his very first meet.
I am duly impressed–with all of the kids, of course, but in this case, special kudos to Reid.
