Bernie Madoff would be proud !
I was listening to the radio yesterday and they were discussing dissolving Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and how perilous an undertaking this would be. It struck me how the fiscal conservatives have said little about this chunk of government welfare, and then I realized, like defense spending, many fiscal conservatives (i.e., the Tea Party crowd) are fine with tax dollars going to companies, they just don’t like it going to people, especially if they’re likely to actually need it because the companies have moved their jobs and manufacturing overseas to make more short-term profits for the obscenely rich fiscal conservatives (i.e., Koch brothers and their ilk).
