“[T]hose who meditated for about 30 minutes a day for eight weeks had measurable changes in gray-matter density in parts of the brain associated with memory, sense of self, empathy and stress.”
How Meditation May Change the Brain – NYTimes.com
I can’t remember the last time I meditated and I don’t understand the people who do meditate. Life is too busy. Who has time for that shit?
If your objective were to build gray-matter density, you’d probably make time and take time, but how would you know if it’s working as most of us don’t have gray-matter density measurers at home. If your objective is to accomplish something in a busy life, do something besides meditate and you’ll create memories, a sense of self, and relieve stress. Three out of four ain’t bad.
Your response may be too subtle for some people.
