There is damn little room for error during takeoff at Chicago’s Midway airport.
We had about 1500 feet of runway left when the back wheels left the ground.

My issue with Midway is the drive through a very unpleasant part of Chicago to get there.
But let me tell you this…Midway is eight THOUSAND times better than O’Hare. I loathe O’Hare. Their on time record is abysmal.
I had a flight attendant who flies through O’Hare every working day of his life tell me to NEVER fly through O’Hare. I’ve heeded that advice since.
