Best line of the day

“What TSA really needs is a snappy motto. Something along the lines of ‘In Nonsense There Is Strength.'”

Ask the Pilot – Salon.com

He has some interesting suggestions saying, “We’ve had almost a decade to get it right, but still the physical setup of the screening stations is atrocious — a jury-rigged assemblage of noise, clutter and disorganization.”

  1. I had a terrible time traveling by air this spring. Things that are allowed on one leg of a trip are rejected on another. Someone confiscated an old holder for a bar of soap. Not the bar of soap, just the holder, which was not gun-shaped nor made of explosive material. // After I went through a particularly thorough search at a gate, I said to a friend I hated how bewildering the process was. He suggested confusion and disorder are useful if you’re trying to trip-up somebody. Maybe. // Remember the hijackings to Cuba? Somehow we overcame those without going insane. peace, mjh
