  1. My goodness – not a surprise, though. my partner and I have been collecting old racist ads. Never thought about looking for sexist ones.

Our favorite so far is an Aunt Jemima ad where she exclaims, “Lawzee, but dey sho’ do keep me humpin’ fo mo’ pancakes!”

The title of the ad is The Last Christmas on the Old Plantation, during which the Colonel and his guests praised Aunt Jemima “till her black face was all aglow with pride.”

It’s from the Ladies Home Journal, 1919.
