Haven’t you wondered at least a little if it isn’t more than a coincidence that once the Government took over General Motors it got all into Toyota’s grill?

More than a little… It’s been an ongoing conversation in my household. It certainly makes ya go, “Hmmmm…”
Toyota has a lot of American defenders, too. It has plants all over the U.S. The conflict of interest is clear, but so are Toyota’s errors.
I’ve been discussing just that with my best friend.
Psst, GM. You know what might actually be a better tack? Building a couple cars that people actually want to buy. Just a thought.
Has Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily) never had any recalls or legal battles over known and covered up issues with their vehicles. Does the Pinto ring a bell or perhaps the rollover danger associated with the huge selling Explorer. Additionally, there was GM’s wonderful Corvair, now there was a safe vehicle.
The US auto manufacturers have fought tooth and nail over all safety and environmental mandates, yet claim credit for them when forced to implement said mandates.
GM just announced another recall minutes ago this one involving 1.3 million-vehicles. Remember the Jeep rollover problems? How about Honda’s recent recall because their airbags explode with so much force they can kill you. That particular recall brought Honda’s total to around 1 million since 2008 including the CRV, Odyssey, Accord, and Civic models. Even Nissan has joined the club with over 500,000 vehicles recalled recently due to braking issues.
So, is there political motivation behind the “calling out” of Toyota, most likely? The manufacturers, however, are cutting corners. Do a search and you will find that virtually every auto manufacturer has recalls since 2008 and before.
