The local Nissan dealer’s running radio ads reassuring Toyota owners that they’ll take their trade-ins. Schnort.
About eight weeks ago, I had an email from Toyota’s ad agency up in L.A. asking if I’d be interested in working on the Toyota account. I responded with a thanks-but-no-thanks. I’m thinking that was a better move than I even knew–I can’t imagine what kind of hours they’re going to be pulling in the near future. Ugh.
I was listening to NPR this morning and heard a story about the manufacturer of the gas pedals for Toyota. They are not the design company-they simply manufacture the part. THEY are being blamed for this debacle and it’s sad because the little town (I can’t remember… somewhere in the midwest) relies on this manufacturing plant for the majority of its jobs. And Toyota is actively pursuing THEM as the problem when clearly it’s a design issue.
You know who’s having the best week?
General Motors.

I hope GM, etc… ARE having a good week!!
I can’t help but wonder if Mi3ke has any second thoughts about his Prius. 🙂
