My good friend Donna was undone by Comcast this evening as the evil ones stood her up for an appointment, put her through eons on telephone hold, only to have a supervisor be dismissive to the point of rudeness.
And, of course, the appointment was to fix their internet service which has been, they admit, inadequate for several days now.
I don’t have the info in front of me, but have Donna (or yourself) search dukecityfix.com for the Comcast discussions where their regional VP responds and provides his contact info. When I was having problems with their service a year or more ago, he was quite helpful and got things cleared up quickly.
After several unsuccessful attempts to arrange Comcast internet for my new place in Baltimore (we didn’t want cable service, just the Tubes), I gave up. WiMax, here I come.
I gave up on Comcast cable four years ago. Last year I gave up on them as an ISP too.
Now I have DirecTV and Qwest fiber DSL. Both are big improvements. Cost is less.
Hi Ken,
Please have your friend contact our team. We will make sure that the problem is looked into and get the right person involved to correct the problem ASAP.

ComcastMark, what a joke.
I too dropped Comcast all together recently. I spent waaaaaaaaay too much time on the phone waiting to talk to someone. And it was my cell phone I might add, since their modem was so unreliable that my land line was out several times a week.
NewMexiKen’s friend should concentrate on getting some money back and signing up with another ISP.
What those guys said. I know NM is rural but the spotty signals and difficulty in repairs is more than a bit much for a paid service. And its not as though improvements or upgrades are on the way. I’d never recommend someone spend money with that company.
Donna followed up with a local Comcast honcho as suggested by Bosque Bill. She got a nice call today confirming tomorrow’s appointment and telling her she’s being credited for the lost service and then some.
OK Comcast, nice. But why does it take publicly pulling your chain to get it done?
