Hmm…dunno on that one.
There is, however, a Randy Travis lyric:
“If my phone still ain’t ringing, I’ll assume it still ain’t you.”
and a Jimmy Buffet Lyric:
“If the phone doesn’t ring. You’ll know that it’s me”
Probably Buffet that Verhovek was thinking of, but you’ve got to admit by turning it around it’s got a much more country sound to it.
I was gonna tell you about the Randy Travis lyric. It was one of his best songs, back in the day. I still say that once in awhile.
