I hate having to decide.
For example, this evening (now) should I have cheese, crackers and a glass of nicely chilled Chardonnay, or should I have chips, salsa and a Margarita?
Sometimes decisions like these just leave me paralyzed and I do without.
Other times I have cheese, crackers and Chardonnay, AND chips, salsa and a Margarita.
But which should I have first?
Don’t chill your Chardonnay too much. Below 10 degrees C (50F) and you won’t get the true benefits of this wonderful wine. Some are even best as high as 12 C. Most Chardonnay is stored in a refrigerator and is served way too cold. Likewise, most reds are served way too warm.
I like the margarita, no chips first, followed by the wine and cheese. Perhaps a Rosé (often served more chilled than Chardonnay) from the Rhone River, or a Beaujolais (similar in temperature to Chard) would be nice with some Brie, Cheshire, Edam, Gouda, Gruyere, Munster, Monterey Jack, Migneron, Jarlsberg…
Good luck & enjoy!
Polska Kielbasa rounds, sharp cheddar, and Triscuit Black Pepper. With salsa. In a seedy hotel room I am way tired of. A beer would be nice but I’m too lazy.
Best I can do in the land of the Yonkhee. Isn’t that what Day Lewis said in Last of the Mohicans?
