In light of the 13 bodies they’ve found on Albuquerque’s Southwest Mesa, Joline Gutierrez Krueger makes a very good point about news coverage and missing persons.

I am the daughter of one of the lost women. My mothers name is Shawntell Waites, she has been missing since 2005. I always think about her and try to stay positive in thinkin that one day my family and i will find her alive. When the news broke out about the bodies being pulled up from the Mesa my heart dropped because i knew it was a possibility that my mother could be possibly one of those women. Reading the paper really made me aggravated and upset to know that the media is classifying these Lost Women as prostitutes and druggies. Personally i feel that no matter who any of these women were or are nobody has the right to still their dignity or their name because regardless of who they were or how they lived their lives they are missing now and dont deserve whatever has happened to them. God bless those who have lost a loved one my prayers go out to you
