  1. I’ve played with Safari 4 some today and discoverd I like Top Sites a lot and some other new features. Safari 4 is also fast. I don’t like the lack of a refresh (reload) button and I’m not sure I like having the tabs at the very top. Apple certainly needs to allow more add-ons (and the existing add-ons like 1Password certainly need immediate updating).

John, I don’t understand your complaint about “imported marks.”

  2. Oops, the refresh button is in the address box.

But it has broken my New York Times Reader software, so good-bye for now Safari 4.

  3. I downloaded the windows version of Safari and tried it. I still like Firefox.

Mostly because it can be extended by installing devices called ‘add-ons’. There are many of these not the least of which is one that allows one to enable java and javascript on a site by site basis. This means that its use makes it harder to get a virus from the web. There are thousands of others, some good and some not so good.
