… when the candidate is late to the rally. Three of The Sweeties crash.
Photo taken tonight at Obama rally in Virginia attended by “well over 90,000” people, most of whom stayed awake.
Nearly 100,000 people at 10:00 on a Monday night in the suburbs.
Fired Up! Ready to Go!
100,000 people at a location built on a two-lane road. We parked in the middle of a race track. I’ve never seen so many cars for so many miles around an event.
We left ahead of the crowds to get home, but the experience was amazing. There will be people there until 2 or 3 in the morning because of the pure number of cars that have to get out of there. It was truly awesome. (Albeit, waiting for more than an hour was a bit annoying. We had to spend the time keeping people from stepping on the sleeping Sweeties.)
When Obama arrived, he brought Tim Kaine and Mark Warner with him. So, we got to see the big three for Virginia tonight. We also saw Tim Kaine’s 18-year-old son, who very nervously gave a speech to the waiting crowd. His voice actually squeaked at one point.
That was awesome!
We saw Obama here the day after he secured the nomination in June, and again tonight at his last campaign event before election day.
I think he has a secret crush on Virginia.
