Uh oh

It appears the McCain campaign didn’t vet Joe the Plumber any more than they did Sarah the Hockey Mom.

  1. I listened to gool ol’ Joe’s phone interview with Katie Couric. He said that he asked Obama the question because he wanted to see if he would get a real answer, or just a “tap dance.” Then he suggested that Obama did a world-champion tap dance.

That’s enough proof for me that he’s a fake. You can disagree up one side and down the other with Obama’s answer, and his economic policy. But to act as if he didn’t answer the question? That’s a bold-faced lie. Obama thoroughly answered the question, admitted that Joe might have to pay some more taxes, and explained why he thinks that is fair.

At first I felt kind of sorry for this dude, being dragged into things. Now I think he deserves what he gets. Tax cheat.

  2. Turns out that “Joe the Plumber,” as he became nationally known when Senator John McCain made him a theme at Wednesday night’s third and final presidential debate, may run a plumbing business but he is not a licensed plumber. His full name is Samuel J. Wurzelbacher. And he owes a bit in back taxes.

The premise of his question to Mr. Obama about taxes may also be flawed, according to tax analysts.
