Six Ways To Improve The Debates
NewMexiKen suggests no more old white guy moderators. (Lehrer, Brokaw and Schieffer’s average age is 71.) Get that woman that moderated “The Weakest Link.”
I thought the Lehrer did a good job in the first debate. It was just the candidates that sucked anything of use out of the debate.
But Lehrer has moderated 10 out of the last 16 presidential debates (since 1988).
He’s OK, but it isn’t like he’s the Tiger Woods of debate moderation.
Ummm, how about taking the debates out of the hands of the Commission on Presidential Debates, which sounds nicely non-partisan but is in fact a shill for the Democrat and Republican parties designed to ensure softball questions and exclude third party participation?
I seem to remember the League of Women Voters used to do a heck of a job.
