“A friend will help you move. A good friend will help you move a body.”
— From the sidebar at all this is that.
Hypothetical, of course: Do you have a friend who would help you move a body?
[This got four affirmative comments last time it was posted!]
A good friend will bail you out after a wild night on the town.
A great friend is sitting in the pokey with you, saying “That was awesome!”
Yes. Ten years or so, I came home and found that our nine year old Doberman Pinscher, our homely but sweet Falstaff, had died in our dog run that day. There was no warning: he had acted like a middle aged dog in perfect health up to that time.
My husband was traveling, and two friends came out and picked him up that night to take to the vet (for an autopsy) the next morning.
Yes.
No comment on whether or not it has already happened once…
Yup. And I’d do the same for her.
I have to. She’s been my best friend for 20 years. She knows all my secrets. Can’t afford to have her start blabbing, now can I?
Yes, yes I do.
Absolutely! And I’d do the same. We can’t just leave all of these bodies lying around for people to trip over, can we?
I had a hole in a pipe under the house last week and had to dig out to get to it and fix. As I was moving the dirt into the yard, I kept waiting for the next door neighbor to ask what I was doing. “Gotta bury the bodies somewhere.” But she never did.
