Except for his gratuitous last line, FunctionalAmbivalent does so much more with this than I did.
I disagree that the last line was gratuitous. If I had felt gratuity at all, I would have said “thank you”.
The LHC came on line and so far as I know we haven’t been sucked into a black hole — unless you count the McCain-Palin campaign.
