  1. There are a number of arguments against this – “the VP has to be a southerner”, “the VP has to be a woman”, etc., all in the name of balancing the ticket – but geez, for a moment it’s nice to dream: two intelligent, articulate, capable people in the White House.

  2. Wesley Clark is a southerner. He is from Arkansas. He also happens to be a good fried of Bill Clinton’s, and BC is one one slated to introduce the VP.

    He also, by all reports, happens to be one of the smartest, most competant people ever to run for public office. Take a look at Winning Modern Wars for an exposition of his approach to diplomacy. Yes, he says the only way to win a modern war is through diplomacy.

    I had a Clark yard sign up for his last run, and I would love to have him on the ticket.
