Ted Stevens indicted

I see they finally caught up with that scofflaw Ted Stevens for almost running me down in a crosswalk in front of the National Archives in 1973.

I see also that Bennigan’s has gone under — not only closed, but to be liquidated. Ha, that’ll teach her. Her being THAT bartender in April that was snippy with me when I was snippy with her about showing ID to buy a Michelob Ultra 42 years after I turned 21. “Do you want to get me fired?” she said. Well, yeah.

  1. I literally just finished sending a text message to my friend telling him of the close of Bennigans.

And that’s weird because they wouldn’t take his license because part of the lamination had started to come off; he’s 26, has a full mustache and is starting to go bald.

I guess they just have a very vigilant license-checking policy.

  2. I’d put it differently LP. I’d say that they had a policy of not trusting their employees.

And that kind treatment of employees often translates into how the employees treat customers.

And snippy customer service is a sure road to bankruptcy in a service-based, undifferentiated industry like casual dining.

  3. Senator Stevens, going down the tubes

Seriously, I hope he’s just the appetizer: there are plenty more like him, unfortunately.
