“Barack Obama has played the race card, and he played it from the bottom of the deck.’’
Rick Davis, McCain’s campaign manager, as reported at The Caucus.
At this rate, McCain’s crew will be using the “N’ word by September. When McCain lost Iraq as an issue, he had no issues, so now it’s all anti-Obama, all the time.
But then I have to acknowledge, the only reason to vote for McCain is to not vote for Obama.
You should start a thread about the most asinine political statements.
I’ll start with these:
1: The only thing you have to fear is … fear itself!
2: I voted for it before I voted against it.
3. …
How about these?
• Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB/GYN’s aren’t able to practice their love with women all across the country.
• Rarely is the questioned asked: Is our children learning?
• There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.
• Heckuva job Brownie
I was going to add “It depends on the what the meaning of the word is is.” but I consider that a statement by a politician not a political statement.
I’ll add:
3: A nation of whiners.
How about:
We were told four years ago that 17 million people went to bed hungry every night. Well, that was probably true. They were all on a diet.
A tree’s a tree. How many more do you need to look at?
A few months ago, I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages. My heart and my best intentions still tell me that’s true, but the facts and evidence tell me it is not.
