NewMexiKen’s very own congress critter, Heather Wilson, lost the primary yesterday for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate. The far more conservative candidate won, Rep. Steve Pearce. He gets the opportunity to lose in November to the third of our state’s three representatives, Democrat Tom Udall.

My question: What do you think are the chances Heather will stay in New Mexico now that her political career is over?

    Rep. Heather Wilson of New Mexico lost Tuesday to a more conservative Republican in a primary fight for the open Senate seat in her state, but Virginia Republican Rep. Tom Davis suggested she might make a good running mate for John McCain.

  4. Ah, symmetry. Tom Davis happens to be MY representative.

    Sadly (not), he gave up his own Senate run last fall, and then announced that he won’t even be running for re-election to the House.

    This quotation suggests he may now be representing Crazy Town, USA.
