I was watching with a bunch of horse people, and we were all snarling at the coverage. Not just ignoring the winning horse, but the incessant human interest drivel in the pre-race show. We wanted to see the horses, not a bunch of sob stories.
If you think that was bad, wait until the Olympics start.
