LP thinks NewMexiKen needs to read Chuck Klosterman’s IV: A Decade of Curious People and Dangerous Ideas.
As far as I can remember, I’ve never read anything by Klosterman. What am I missing?
Meanwhile, I am reading Tony Horwitz’s A Voyage Long and Strange: Rediscovering the New World. Enjoyable and informative.
Personally, I’d have you start your Klosterman with Killing Yourself to Live.
I don’t think you’d relate to everything he writes about, but there is a lot there that you would enjoy, I think.
I’ll definitely second (or third) the recommendation. Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs was the funniest book I’ve read in a decade.
From last year.
I’ll agree with Avelino and Jill.
I just think IV is easier to sink your teeth into since it’s not a whole book, instead a collection of interviews and essays. Plus you can find out why Klosterman compares both Britney Spears and Bono to Bill Clinton.
