Some days are better than others

Jeanne, official friend of NewMexiKen, sent this along.

Pickup Flip

Look at the photo above. Click the image for a larger version.

You can see where the truck broke through the guardrail, to the right where the people are standing on the road pointing. The pick-up was traveling from right to left when it crashed through the guardrail. It flipped end-over-end, across the culvert outlet, and landed right side up on the left side of the culvert, facing the opposite direction from which it was traveling.

  1. Someone’s trying to tell those guys something – “buy the damn’ Lottery ticket, OK ?” – and it even landed with the driver’s door AWAY from the cliff edge. Now that’s service.

  2. Oh, my. I’m thinking it took that driver DAYS to pull all the car seat outta his butt.

  3. Oh, those pictures are SO a metaphor for the War on Terror/Iraq/Afghanistan/etc. The Administration believes the situation is like the first picture: we may have had some bumps and bruises along the way, but ultimately we’re going to be OK. The Loyal Opposition sees the second picture: we may have made it safely this time, but we are THIS far away from falling down a deep chasm from which there is no getting out.

You wanted comments? I GOT YER COMMENT RIGHT HERE!

    [hose me down any time]

  4. Mack: “He was about to die. I like his truck.”

Aidan: “That would be bad if someone fell on his head.”

    (Grandpa, you asked for comments.)
