Here are the details from Forbes, including other notable toys of each decade. (Article is from 2005.)
I had two toys from the list (Mr. Potato Head & G.I. Joe), but alas, I never got a Cabbage Patch Kid.
You were your older siblings’ Cabbage Patch Kid. 🙂
Funny, I thought he was his older siblings’ Mr. Potato Head. (Just joking, of course.)
I, on the other hand, had five items from the list: Raggedy Ann, View Master, Candy Land, Mr. Potato Head (not the little brother version), and a Rubik’s Cube.
We siblings had other items which must also be on the most popular list, such as Erector Sets, Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, Hockey (back when ALL the men moved), Lionel train sets, and Monopoly, plus Legos and The Game of Life for the younger sibs.
