NewMexiKen

As my seven regular readers may have noticed, I stopped writing about the national parks on a nearly daily basis some time ago. It seemed too many were coming around again and again. Now, as I’ve just proven in the two posts preceding this one, NewMexiKen is not above redundancy and repetition — indeed, I approve of it. I just thought it was silly with the parks and monuments. Anyone want them back?

(I went ahead and did Canyonlands for today.)

Oh, and I’ve been wondering if anyone reads the little history vignettes I write. I do those mostly for myself (enjoying the research more than the writing), but I’ve been curious if anyone reads them.

And, later this morning, I’m out of here for the rest of the week without a computer.

You better kiss me
‘Cause your gonna miss me when I’m gone

  1. I read your blog semi-regularly–do I count? But I stop by to read, not to write. Mostly, I like the National Park stuff, and you have a great photo with this one. And I really do like the historical vignettes.

  2. I read your site every morning. I especially like your book reviews, and have read most of your recommendations. (Stumbling on Happiness is my latest.) I also like your history items. And thanks for your occassional smack-downs of GWB.

  3. Officially it reached 100º or 102º each day I was in Tucson, but my car outside temp showed as high as 108º a couple times. I saw that Friday was the 65th day this summer it had gotten to 100º or more. Albuquerque got to 100º once.
