  1. I always wonder if ‘They’ follow ‘Robert’s Rules of Order’ at their meetings.

If so, couldn’t an enterprising reporter ask for the minutes of their meetings under the “Freedom of Information” act?

What nonsense! There is no “They”. Just an ambitious politician who had the intelligence and skill to mount a successful campaign.

  2. If there is a Republican “They” it follows that there must be a Democrat “They”.

I wonder who they could be.

    Wes Boyd?
    Linda Pritzker?

Naah! It couldn’t be, could it?

  3. It’s not wrong to advocate or lobby, Ephraim.

It was wrong to support George W. Bush. He is a 61-year-old child who still can’t take responsibility for his actions.

  4. “Their” meetings are at the golf clubs they only allow rich, powerful, white men to join, in the secret clubs at Yale that only accept the “right” sort, on the junkets that cost half a million dollars per person.

It is not a Republican “they.” It is a rich and powerful “they.” People who have the money and the power to have a great effect on how our country is managed, and to get more money and power in doing so. Traditionally they have chosen Republicans to finance because of the Republican stance on taxation.

How dumb do you have to be to believe that there is no one out there using their money to manipulate the political process? We’re not talking a cave full of secret underground Republicans here. We’re talking about the people who openly raise millions of dollars for certain hand-picked candidates because they know those people will then work to eliminate the estate taxes and give their companies no-bid contracts. It’s no big secret.

  5. Only the rich pay taxes. See: this page

I didn’t go to Yale, I have NO power, I never got a no-bid contract.

When I was a kid I would help my dad mow the lawn at the golf course. Does that count? I hate mowing lawns!

  6. Ephraim, I’m guessing you scored the minimum possible score on the reading comprehension section of the SATs.

  7. I don’t know what is lower than a moron on the intelligence scale but anyone who believes only the rich pay taxes falls into that category.

I would invite them to see my paycheck stubs every week, but I’m sure it is far beyond their comprehension.
