In the spirit invoked by the above, I sent a message to Jill and Byron, the parents who are leaving me in charge of their three boys for a few days this fall:
“I’m already trying to plan some activities for the boys when I babysit. I need to know, is jumping from the second floor [balcony] onto the family room sofas totally prohibited, or is it OK with proper supervision?”
Jill wrote back:
“Jumping is thoroughly prohibited, but the “Catch Reidie” game is not only allowed, but encouraged.”
Reidie is the youngest.
