  1. perhaps the slippery ch can overcome his demons and attain the stature of an ingersoll; i can’t see it happening this week or any time soon. that title carries its own recantation.

  2. I watched Oprah interview Cormac McCarthy today.
I thought he came off as kind of a jerk. I wanted to like him. His biggest priority in life was to “not work.” He was severely poor sometimes as a result. Through three marriages. Someone always came along to “help” him.
I like his books, though. Kinda sparse but his word usage is unique.
    Oprah made him blush.

So, it was just another ho-hum day with Oprah.
    😉
PS… her summer book is “Middlesex.” Interesting choice for fluffy, summer reading.
I just wanna say, “Oh… Oprah, Oprah, Oprah…”

  3. I know McCarthy is a great writer and all, but to be honest I have never gotten very far in any of his books except All the Pretty Horses, which was first rate.
