Dicken’s World is an excellent example of “naff”. Sigh.
Those of you who live in the USA don’t know how lucky you are to have town, county, state and national parks to use in your leisure time. Here in the U.K., we mostly get a choice between Dicken’s World type planned entertainment (at high prices), or visiting almost as expensive National Trust type old properties. This obsession with our past glories, to the exclusion of paying attention to where we are going, is our Achilles Heel.
At least we have public footpaths.
