Things NewMexiKen has learned in the past month.
The utility companies in Tucson appear to be staffed with morons.
Chase Bank should be run out of business. Zero cooperation (by telephone at least.)
World Savings is awesome.
Bank of America is pretty darn good.
Verizon has a different story every time you call — but came through pretty well in the end.
Social Security, which has an incredible task, serves us well. And, in my experience, with extraordinary courtesy. Next time you wish to bad mouth a government worker, bite your tongue!
These experiences were in winding up your late dad’s affairs in Tucson? You don’t need aggravation on top of that.
They seem to make nothing easy, though I’ve had better luck with Tucson utilities today.
Anyone that owes you money is very reluctant. I understand their need to protect account holders, but once that is established, where is the easy, electronic way to do what needs to be done?
Not to mention telephone trees from hell and loooooonnnng holds.
The worst, DWS Scudder.

This is a fabulous database that shows how to get through, or even better, around these phone trees. I see Chase is listed.
