If this is supposed to show where I am now, it’s off by 1200 miles.
It should (and usually does) show where your internet service is located.
But it is, as I titled it, “a little experiment.” I’m hoping a few others will let me know if it’s right or wrong — or at least if it’s in the neighborhood.
Dead on the money for me.
About 250 miles off for me. But interesting to know from where my service is provided.
Pretty close (10 miles) for me. I believe it gives the location of my cable service.
Um, missed by 125 miles, putting me in Indianapolis, IN, where I don’t particularly want to be.
Right on! In fact I zoomed in right to my house and could see my kids slide in the back yard!
And why does it take me to San Leandro, when I am sitting here in San Francisco?
Roy, because the internets know that secretly in their heart-of-hearts every San Franciscan wishes they lived instead in San Leandro.
Or, maybe it’s just because your ISP is centered there.
