    Wow.

    That’s hard to watch. I was actually stunned that the group of student onlookers didn’t force the issue (i.e. physically approach the situation) sooner. But I guess instinct tells us not to rush police officers.

    Campus police, in my experience, are the worst kind of bullies…even worse than regular cops can be. But it is unbelievable that these guys would get so caught up in their forced submission that they forgot that they were surrounded by a lot of witnesses whose parents won’t like hearing this story.

    Although, so far, UCLA is defending their actions, so maybe the cops were right in assuming they could do whatever they wanted.

    In case you don’t know the story, this kid is a 23-year-old student who didn’t produce ID when approached in a computer lab on campus. According to witnesses he was leaving peacefully, but objected when the officers put their hands on him to escort him out…as would I.
