Wilson (R) 105,916
Madrid (D) 105,037
Now that’s close (4/10ths of a percent), but it’s final (pending data-entry verification).
Madrid’s national political career is, one hopes, over, because if she couldn’t win this seat this year, what’s left?
But she can seal her doom by asking for a recount.
In my opinion, this ad turned the tide.
I usually think of you as an intelligent progressive person. I’m a long-time reader, and have posted here many times. I think Wilson is absolutely repugnant. There is nothing Madrid has done that makes Wilson OK.
What did I write that makes you think I think Wilson is OK?
I found Madrid to be a disappointing candidate and I think that TV ad was effective in portraying that.
Sorry, I guess you said nothing about Wilson being OK. But you hope Madrid is over – is there someone better waiting in the wings? Madrid almost beat an incumbent – not an easy task any year.
I’m afraid Richard I disagree. By mid-October it was Madrid’s race to lose — and she lost.
“If you would have told me two months ago that 28 Republican seats would change hands and I’d still be standing here, I would’ve told you that you were crazy.”
