Most inane line of the day, so far

“And even the upper-middle class kids who are having sex don’t know where to get condoms.”

Sylvia Ruiz, executive director of the New Mexico Teen Pregnancy Coalition, quoted in The Albuquerque Journal in a report on the state’s continuing to rate high in teen-age pregnancy.

The upper-middle class kids know where to get booze and marijuana, but aren’t familiar with Walgreens?

  1. Or any grocery store, or K-Mart? In some neighborhoods, look near the women’s sanitary products, rather than near the men’s shaving products. It depends on who is more likely to buy them, women or men. I was pleased to see them sold in a vending machine in a ladies room in a cafe in Utah, of all places. I used to be on the board of Planned Parenthood, so I notice these things. Of course, Planned Parenthood has them too.
