Three-year-old Aidan can name all the Star Wars characters, and knows most of their genealogy as well. For Halloween he decided he had to be Anakin Skywalker, the hero who turns to the dark side.
Though the older brother, five-year-old Mack wanted to be the true hero of the series, Anakin’s son Luke Skywalker.
And when you are seven-month-old Reid, and your older brothers are Anakin and Luke Skywalker, who else can you be for Halloween but Master Yoda?
There was a puppy.
And a giraffe.
And Tinkerbell, too.

I’ve always loved Halloween. I used to love making costumes for my son so much — and taking him trick-or-treating. One year we turned our front porch into a haunted house; he dressed as a rock-n-roll mummy and helped me pass out candy. Such wonderful times. Sigh.
