Some of my six or seven loyal readers tell me they care.
OK, prove it.

bribery?
I’m not sure what this thread is asking for, but I thought I’d respond as I frequent your blog and never post. I stumbled upon it two years back doing a Google search on Spanish place names. I grew up in NM and will be moving back soon. To bridge the gap I like to visit Newmexiken, stay current with NM news (I still can’t believe they’re actually going ahead with that commuter train project)and try my hand with the trivia. Great work – love the site.

Well, I certainly missed your blog while you were traveling and not posting very much. (Of course, seeing you in person was even better.) Thanks for the tip about Cumberland, since I could be passing by that way sometime.
Whew….that was a long stretch without NewMexiKen. Thanks for getting back to posting on your blog. Made a trip to NM a couple of weeks ago to see my niece graduate from Artesia High School. And to visit with relatives. My daughter and I made a trip to the Caverns and to see aliens in Roswell. It was a nice trip for both of us. She’s 23 and I’m 46.
I’m loyal AND appreciative! I live in Encinitas, CA am 57, a Liberal who mostly reads political blogs. My earliest memories are in Cloudcroft or Alamagordo, as I was an Air Force rocketeer baby. Born El Paso, lived in NM 1950-53. I love it there , visit often.
I broke down (’87 Mustang w 200k miles) two years ago on Route 9 outside WhiteHorse. There was nothing manmade in sight except the road. It was 107 degrees, and smoky from north AZ fires. I hitchhiked with 3 Indian groups, some who didn’t speak English. Everyone was very nice, but I was on my own and hitched 62 miles to Cuba to get a tow back and on to Espanola. Expensive. Met a bunch of people. A true road trip.
I read you all the time, NewMexiKen, and wish that you enjoyed you as much as I do.
Thanks for what you do, Richard W. Crews
Welcome back. Lunch hour isn’t the same without you.
Are you FINALLY home? Jesus Christ already.
PS: You have some gorgeous grandkids.
Yay! He’s back! We missed you.
Huzzah. More NewMexiKen goodness. Welcome back, and sorry to hear about the official atention in Maryland.
I had a bad dream yesterday that this blog was replaced with a stark white page, devoid of wisdom, whimsy and wit.
Thank goodness THAT nightmare is over.
So glad you’re back!
You have a beautiful family.
Told you we all missed you and we were having withdrawal, glad you’re back (home and blogging)
I missed NewMexiken while I was away. Little did I know -you were off having what appears to be a wonderful time!
Your grandkids are just beautiful.
Work on that hosty thing please – yours is a must read.
