That was sweet. I’m glad I’m not the only one out there… not too many years ago I stood in the middle of US Highway 30 near a curve (at night) to make sure a litter of young kittens made it safely across the road after their feral mom scurried across. It did indeed warm my cockles to see people taking time to help a duck family safely pass by in a place as busy as D.C.
