I apologize

One of the things about this kind of stream-of-consciousness blog is the juxtaposition of topics: Leno jokes, basketball, Terri Schiavo, gasoline prices, birthdays, history. I occasionally tweak the order or refrain from blogging something to show some taste, but often I just let fly. Sorry.

  2. I don’t believe I have ever thought, “I can’t believe he put that there.” I think the layout of your blog makes it very easy to read each entry separately. That’s one of my favorite aspects of your blog. I never really have time to read everything, but I skim it often and like learning little bits about so many diverse topics.

  6. John may not have liked the “If heaven” line, but I myself completely agree and have often wondered the same thing. So, I guess your blog just connects with different people at different times.

    Put yourself in her parent’s shoes….You might
    think differently. It’s easy to say one thing,
    but when you’re actually in the situation, things
    are different. Hope that made sense.

  8. Um, John, I wasn’t talking about you, you weren’t even a thought in my mind, don’t take it so personally. I was thinking in broader, more general terms re: Newmexiken and the things he posts. I’m grateful for what he does and glad we all have a chance to comment here. Since you brought it up, however, I have been in the shoes of Schiavo’s parents, have had to make a decision about ending the life of someone I loved. For me, it was an act of love, difficult and agonizing as it was. I don’t regret it and I don’t think Ken’s statement was insensitive. Peace.
