  1. Thank you. Hendren wasn’t worth a damn in Birds. In fact, the whole movie was so bad it was almost comical.

    I vasillate between thinking Hitchcock was a genius to thinking he was lazy and lacked an eye for detail.

    I’ll never understand his obsession with Jimmy Stewart. Much better were his movies with Cary Grant. And Rope–that’s not innovative–it’s called a play. And not even as good as a play because you can stop and re-film when you screw up.

    Still, camera angles and movement were his forte and no one did it better.
