Advice to Democratic Senators

“And anybody who thinks 51 percent is license to end the progressive income tax, chloroform Social Security, create a permanently troglodytic federal judiciary, invade Teheran, and generally take the national polity back to the 1890’s is betting heavy behind a low pair. Don’t fold. Don’t call. Raise.”

  1. The American Taliban is flexing its muscles, making threatening noises, and generally getting uglier day by day. This is no time to give in to the bullies who think they now own America. Do you really want to live in a country whose government imposes a narrow, hypocrital morality over all its citizens? I don’t. Too many bigots are operating under cover of Christianity. They forget that talking about being a Christian and being one are not the same thing. We shouldn’t give in and we shouldn’t give up. The Republican Party does not have a mandate and the Democratic Party has no strength. It’s up to ordinary people to make their voices heard. Contact the politicians and tell them what you think. Contact the media, tell them what you think. Talk to friends and family about what it means to be an American. Give up Party affiliation, register as
Independents…oohhh…damn-CRASH, BOOM…OUCH! Sorry fell off my soapbox, I’ll be ok. But you know what I mean.
